The PEIFA Tuna Advisory Committee has submitted the conservation harvesting plan to DFO with an opening date of October 4th, 2010 for the 2010 PEI Tuna fishery. Date and management details were decided by Island Tuna fishermen from returned questionnaires submitted via a mail-out in early June. The fishery will continue to follow a 5-day per week fishery as well as limiting fish harvesters to one fish per day.
