Parr, 61, passed away on August 27. He was born in Mary’s Harbour, Labrador to Myrtle and Robert Parr of Port Hope Simpson, Labrador on June 6, 1960. As a young man he grew up in the fishing boat. He was a jack-of-all-trades, fishing and working at St. Anthony Seafoods, as a carpenter, a construction worker, a janitor/bus driver at Bayview Collegiate and White Hills Academy and was also employed at Hillier’s Esso.

Russell, 96, passed away on July 21. He was born on August 3, 1924, to his parents, Charles and Rhoda Russell in Georges Cove, Labrador. As a young man, he moved to Main Brook where his work ethic and desire to provide for his family led him to pursue a lifelong career in the fishery. He returned to Labrador every summer with his family for the fishing season until the moratorium in 1992.

Feltham, 73, tragically passed away on June 1 as a result of a boating accident on Rocky Pond near Gambo. He was born in Glovertown on April 14, 1948 to the late Millicent and Reuben Feltham. He worked as a teacher, with the Department of Forestry and then went on to become a fisherman. He continued fishing until he retired in 2016.
