FFAW to Hold Fisheries Management Rally in Corner Brook

Members of the FFAW-Unifor have planned a rally for tomorrow morning at the Smallwood Building in Corner Brook to draw attention to what the union calls the federal Conservative Government’s continued assault on the future of the province’s coastal communities. DFO advised that the inshore and midshore Shrimp fishery in Shrimp Fishing Area (SFA) 6, for vessels less than 100 feet, based in NAFO Divisions 3L and 4R, opened at 0600 hours on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.
