Capelin Fixed Gear Fishery Opening in a Portion of Area 14

DFO advises that the capelin fixed gear fishery using traps and bar seine (including tuck seine), for vessels less than 65 feet, in a portion of Capelin Fishing Areas 14 will open at 0600hrs on Thursday, June 25, 2015. The specific capelin quota zone that is opening is that portion from a line drawn due west of Point Riche, north to a line drawn due west of Big Brook. Softshell Closures in NAFO Division 3K for Crab and Shrimp

DFO advises that in accordance with the soft-shell crab protocol, that the following grids AG-45, AH-45 and AI-45  in Crab Fishing Area 4 in NAFO Division 3K will close to fishing snow crab and shrimp at midnight on Thursday, June 25, 2015 due to a high incidence of soft-shell crab.
