2015 Recreational Groundfish Fishery Opening
DFO advises that the dates for the 2015 summer Recreational groundfish Fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador will be Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, August 09, 2015, with a fall fishery from Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, September 27, 2015.
The recreational groundfish fishery will occur in all NAFO areas around Newfoundland and Labrador, which includes 2GH, 2J3KL, 3Ps, 3Pn, and 4R.

Season Extension Crab Fishing Area 2J South of 54 40
DFO advises that the Snow Crab season for Crab Fishing NAFO 2J South of 54 40 has been extended to July 22, 2015 at 2000hrs.
Fish harvesters are reminded to apply through the National Online Licencing System, if they are engaged in, and wish to continue a buddy-up arrangement.
DFO will continue to monitor soft-shell and implement the soft-shell protocol as required.
