MacLeod, 80, passed away on August 16 at the Inverary Manor, Inverness. He was born on March 4, 1938 in Glencoe Station to Patrick and Elizabeth (Moran) MacLeod. In his younger years, he worked in construction, forestry, fishing and as a lighthouse keeper on Margaree Island during the summer months.

Russell, 57, passed away suddenly at sea on July 27. He was a well-respected fisherman who dedicated his life to the fishery. He was the proud owner of the Arctic Pride, Northern Enterprise, Logan R and the JBL Enterprise. He was a member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, the FFAW Inshore Council, Chairman of the Bay Roberts Harbour Authority and past president of the East Coast Otter Trawl Association.

MacDonald, 58, passed away suddenly as a result of a marine accident on May 12. Born in Inverness, he was a son of Anna Hodgeson and the late Clarence Boudreau. McDonald was a lobster, crab and tuna fisherman from a young age and loved being on the water. He was also employed for many years as an automobile mechanic and will be remembered as a fixer of all things broken.

Stoddard, 64, tragically passed away on February 9. On February 6, the Fisherman’s Provider II ran aground just off the coast of Canso. Roger made the decision to stay aboard the ship when his crew departed and he was reported missing shortly after.
Roger spent his entire life working and fishing on the sea and he was truly happiest out on the water. The sea was in his blood.
