Lobster fishing areas (LFAs) 33 and 34 opened on November 26, 2024. LFA 34, located between Digby Neck and Barrington Bay in Southwest Nova Scotia, commenced its dumping day at 5:00 a.m., one hour earlier than normal. LFA 33, located from Shelburne to Halifax on the province’s south coast, opened at 7:00 a.m.
