The unauthorized discharge of approximately 136 cubic metres of synthetic-based drilling mud by BP Canada Energy Group ULC (BP Canada) just two months into drilling an exploratory well in the Scotian Basin has raised alarm bells and a call to the federal government to halt the offshore project.
