Public Advisory: Mariners Advised of Closure of Placentia Lift Bridge
Mariners are advised that the Placentia Lift Bridge will be closed to all marine traffic beginning Monday, February 13, for approximately three weeks.
The closure is necessary to facilitate maintenance of the bridge, ensure the safety of workers, pedestrians and motorists, and allow the work to be completed as quickly as possible.
Vehicle traffic will not be impacted.

Mariners Advised of Closure of Placentia Gut
To facilitate the ongoing construction of the new Placentia lift bridge, the Department of Transportation and Works advises of the closure of Placentia Gut to navigation beginning Thursday, June 9, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily for an estimated two to three weeks.
The closure is necessary to conduct testing which will require raising and lowering of the lift span of the new bridge.
