Innovative Fishing Gear Technologies in the Coast of Bays
The Centre for Sustainable Aquatic Resources and the Regional Aquaculture Centre in the Coast of Bays Region have been working with local harvesters from the Connaigre Peninsula since April to test experimental fishing gear for snow crab and lobster.
While the Centre for Sustainable Aquatic Resources developed and implemented the experimental procedures, the Regional Aquaculture Centre was critical in organizing two information sessions for the harvesters to participate in the projects.
