Halibut Fishery Opening in 4R for Quebec Region Fleet
DFO advises that the Halibut fishery in NAFO Division 4R, for vessels based in the Quebec Region, will open at 0430 hrs EDT on July 8, 2015 and close on July 10, 2015 at 0600hrs EDT.
The specific vessel class affected by this opening and closing is A127 (Halibut fishers based in Gaspésie from the “Autres” group).

Cod Fishery Opening in NAFO Divisions 4RS and Sub-Division 3Pn
DFO advises that the directed competitive cod fishery in NAFO Divisions 4RS and sub-Division 3Pn, for fixed gear vessels less than 65 feet, using six gillnets or 2,000 hooks, will open at 0600hrs on Monday, July 6, 2015.
This opening is for the following vessel classes:
Enterprises based in Western NL and Southern Labrador - 4R3Pn (A274, A275, A277, A278)
Enterprises based in 3Ps with overlap rights to 3Pn (A263, A266, A269,A272)

2015 NL Commercial Eel Fishery in Coastal Waters Opens
DFO reminds fish harvesters that the opening date for the 2015 NL commercial eel fishery in coastal waters was June 1, 2015.
Licences and conditions are available through DFO’s National On-line Licencing System and the site location conditions may be obtained from the DFO Detachment offices.
The eel fishery will close for all gear types in all locations on October 31, 2015.

DFO wishes to advise harvesters that the Lumpfish fishery will open at 0600 hours on Monday, June 8, 2015 in the following Lumpfish fishing areas:
NAFO sub-Division 3Ps
Lawn Head to Dantzic Point
Dantzic Point to Grand Bank Cape
Grand Bank Cape to Point Rosie
DFO also advised harvesters that the lumpfish fishery will open in the portion of NAFO Division 3K from Granite Point to Little Harbour Deep Head at 06:00 hours on Monday June 08 ,2015.
