LFA 25 Lobster Fishery Started Off Poorly, Fiona Only Made Things Worse
The opening of the lobster fishing area (LFA) 25 season between Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick kicked off on a bad footing this year.
Due to poor weather conditions, the opening of the season was delayed two days. The original season was supposed to run from August 9 to October 10, with an updated scheduling of August 11 to October 12.

Lobster harvesters from Prince Edward Island are reporting a successful fall season in LFA 25.

LFA 25 Fishery Underway
The fall lobster season got underway yesterday in Lobster Fishing Area (LFA) 25 under good weather and calm seas.
“I want to wish all fishers in LFA 25 a safe and prosperous fall fishing season in the Northumberland Strait,” said Prince Edward Island Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Alan McIsaac.
